Why is google investing so much money in satellites? Why is google taking pictures of everything and compiling it in google earth? Why is google offering free email?

Google is investing so much into satellites because they are spying on the world. Google created gmail, to monitor what people are discussing. I am not sure what the purpose is for all of this....

Another example is lol cats website: http://icanhascheezburger.com/ It has really funny stuff for free, but has ads that give nice profit. Please relax, nobody is spying on you

The funny thing is, when I look at some of the areas where I live, the images are several years old. Trees where there is now a new housing developement or a new school.
